I have been on twitter for awile because of etsy. It is a way to comminicate with other etsy sellers and promote your shop...etc. I don't usually look for new people to follow, if one follows me then I look at them and decide to follow them or not. I follow a woman who has great blogs. She has a 5 month old that diagnosed with a heart condition while baby was in womb. He has proven miracles along the way but is now in the hospital because of this heart condition. I just wanted to post his picture on my blog, because I think of this baby boy everyday.

Make a Wish

Today the kids found Dandelions in the neighbors grass and brought them over to me. As Abby went to blow hers, Hayden stopped her and said "No not yet Abby, you have to make a wish first, don't you wish you had a new Barbie?"

Two toddlers in the house

Some word of wisdom to anyone considering raising toddlers or some laughs to anyone that is already there...

*Someone will get hurt when playing chase
*One child will need some sort of thing as soon as you sit down
*Where ever they snack, will need to be vacuumed at least once a day
*Expect to step in water when retrieving them from bathtub
*Never ever expect to sleep great once they are sleeping through night
*Expect someone in your face in middle of night or bright and early (see above)
*Do not expect them to eat what you put in front of them
*Expect out of nowhere loving and hugging
*Try to appreciate your children at least once a day, they grow so fast
*Expect pee on floor when you just scrubbed the bathroom
*If you have 2, it will be monkey see monkey do... Like climbing the ladders at Home Depot or touching cactus plants at Home Depot
*If you let them snack outside of table expect to sit in crumbs on couch
*Pop Tarts are ok for breakfast...sometimes
*They only get bloody noses, lips or owies when you are wearing white
*They learn signs and logos very early. Like Target and Chuck E Cheese
*The will announce in public that they tooted

CPSIA

So I was finally feeling better after 1st trimester, I wanted to sew some dolls for my etsy website. I am on Twitter and I noticed through others there was a new law by the CPSIA that toys intended for children under 12 be tested for lead. I cannot afford this testing so I tried to read up on it. It has been delayed until Feb 10, 2010. I still will sign every petition I am asked to sign. I believe we need to buy less toys from China. They are the ones that broke laws, I haven't seen one handmade toy harm a child. Here is a Monkey for sale in my store now

Evening it up

Today I realized although we are expecting baby #3 in our family. We are evening it up for the rest of the family. Landen Matthew will be my parents 4th Grandchild, The 6th Grandchild for Andy's parents, and he will be my grandparents 8th great-grandchild

It's a Boy :)

On Friday January 23, 2009
I went in for my ultrasound and we found out we are having our 2nd boy! I always knew I was having another boy so when I found out I was having Abby, I was surprised.
I kept all of Hayden's baby clothes all this time. I did however donate alot of stuff so we will have to buy new things again.

Hayden is great, he is totally into Transformers now. Releived Thomas barely comes up but once he is into something it is full blown. I have tried to explain to him that he can like more than one thing at a time. He is also eating us out of house and home lately. Every time he eats anything..."I'm still hungry"

Abby is full of energy. Her favorite word is "uh huh" She has pee pee'd in potty just once for us and I think she got a little embarrassed :( so she has had no desire to try again but wants to wear big girl panties. I took them to Wild Animal Park in January and it was a very hot day. When Andy asked about her trip she responded "yeah, they don't come out" meaning the animals

Onto 2009

I never make New Year's Resolutions but since Andy is getting in shape this year maybe I should have one. Hmmm I thought about it....

Put away laundry every load? This won't happen, I know me (and to make matters worse we are adding a 5th persons clothes soon and he/she gets their own special loads)

Finishing decorating miss Abby's room?

Sew more plushies and sell on Etsy? Well that is on hold because of the government passing strict toy laws effective Feb 10th

Get more exercise myself? Check :) did that today and took the kids for a walk in the double stroller.

I think that is all I have thought about so far.
So onto 2009.... I have my ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks and it is exciting because of course we want to find out what the sex is. But crazy because the time has gone so fast. Baby will be in bassinet next to me, and with Hayden and Abby we split up. I always took couch for first couple of months. This time we have decided I will take downstairs guest room so baby won't wake everyone up upstairs and easier access for me to bottles in kitchen.
